OUR SERVICES
BUSHFIRE PLANNING
McPeake Town Planning now offers Bushfire Attack Level (BAL) Assessments, conducted in accordance with the AS3959-2018 guidelines for constructing buildings in bushfire-prone areas. Our services extend throughout Queensland, including the Cairns and Townsville regions.
You might require a Bushfire Attack Level Assessment (BAL) if:
You’re contemplating purchasing a property and wish to assess the bushfire risk and potential impacts on the site.
You’re evaluating the feasibility of a development project and need to understand the associated bushfire risk.
You’re designing a development within a bushfire-prone area and want to create a design that minimizes risk to people, property, and the environment.
Your proposed development falls under assessment against a Bushfire Hazard Overlay by the Council or State Government as part of assessable development under the Planning Act 2016.
You’re an Architect, Building Designer, Engineer, or Building Certifier seeking a BAL report to ensure compliance with AS3959-2018.
Our team of highly experienced land use planners is also qualified under Section 10.2 of the Technical Reference Guide – State Planning Policy State Interest – Natural Hazards, Risk, and Resilience – Bushfire.
Additionally, we are members of the Fire Protection Association of Australia as Level 1 BAL Assessors, as detailed in the FPA Australia’s Bushfire Planning and Design (BPAD) Accreditation Scheme.
